Small Business Entrepreneurship

If you have ever thought about starting a small business out of your own home but were not sure where to start, this class is the right place for you to begin the journey. Learn how to create the business plan you always wanted to write. In this 8 week online course you will create a business plan that addresses the fundamental elements necessary when planning to start any small business. Gain insight on topics such as ownership structure, product development, pricing, supplier relations, customer, marketing and more.

Certified Bookkeeping

This program prepares students to take and pass national certification exams offered by the American Institute of Bookkeeping Professionals.

Two exams are taken in class: Inventory and Internal Controls. Two exams are taken at the Prometric Center in Honolulu: Exam 1 consists of Adjusting Entries and Correction of Accounting Errors; Exam 2 consists of Depreciation and Payroll. Testing fees included in tuition.

PRE-REQUISITES:
  • Must have an AA in Accounting or resume with 2 years of Bookkeeping professional experience

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This program prepares students to take and pass national certification exams offered by the American Institute of Bookkeeping Professionals. Students will demonstrate competence in adjusting entries, correction of accounting errors, payroll, depreciation, and inventory through successful completion of exams.
